NCS Pearson NAEP Support

December 3, 2007 09:11 AM

December 2007 — NCS Pearson of Iowa City has awarded Fulcrum IT Services Company with a small-business subcontract to support the development, deployment, and hosting of critical online assessment questions to support the National Assessment of Educational Progress. The five-year contract, valued over $400,000, leverages Fulcrum IT’s existing experience with the NAEP program and our technical understanding of the use of complex COTS products and custom solutions to develop online survey instruments.

The contract extends Fulcrum IT’s involvement in NAEP by bringing our technical expertise to manage up to 15 complicated background information questionnaires. These questionnaires have up to 100 questions each and require custom logic to achieve the required information. Additionally, Fulcrum IT will be developing custom reporting and output methods for exporting survey data into mainframe analytic tools for statistical evaluation.

“We are pleased to be able to assist our NAEP Alliance teammates with their efforts on this contract. We have enjoyed a strong relationship with NCS Pearson and are looking forward to many more years of working together,” said Jeff Handy, Fulcrum IT President.
