September 2007 — The U.S. Department of Education has extended Fulcrum IT Service Company’s (Fulcrum IT) contract for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), popularly called “The Nation’s Report Card”. The extension for 2008–2012 continues Fulcrum IT’s involvement as the web operations and technology leader for the most important nationwide educational assessment program in the United States. The cost-plus-award fee contract is valued over $21 million.
The U.S. Department of Education awarded Fulcrum IT the five-year contract to provide web operations support and cutting edge technology development to support the entire technical operations for performing the nationwide student assessment. Fulcrum IT will play a critical role along with the other participants in the NAEP program: Educational Testing Service, Pearson, and Westat.
“The NAEP program represents a significant investment and achievement for Fulcrum IT,” says Len Kaplan, Senior Vice President. “We have led the increased automation and streamlining of assessment procedures and created new collaboration methods for thousands of users. We are looking forward to bringing the latest in technology and business solutions to the NAEP program.”
