September 2006 — Fulcrum IT Services Company is proud to be a key partner with NetStar Systems International, Inc., on their contract award to support the migration legacy systems at the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of the Census to a next-generation blade server environment. NetStar was awarded the vehicle under the GSA 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS) Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). The project involves the migration of 72 legacy systems to a new PC Blade Server/Red Hat Linux environment at the Census Bureau headquarters in Suitland, MD.
Fulcrum IT was instrumental in working with NetStar Systems to win this effort. Our background and experience, both with the Census Bureau and with the use of high-end networking systems contributed to the overall success of the team. Fulcrum IT will bring this expertise by assigning top-quality personnel to the effort and supporting them with our proven systems migration processes.
“Our involvement in this program shows our technical expertise and understanding of the difficult nature of the Census mission,” said Len Kaplan, Senior Vice President. “We are proud to be part of the NetStart Systems team and to be a major contributor to this effort.”
